I just ate a banana. It was surprisingly good. So I had to work out why that was surprising. Doing the maths, it's been at least six years since I ate a banana
I might do it more often

Bananas are great but must be perfect - ripe but not too ripe. Too green, or too spotted, and they can be disgusting - but when they're perfectly yellow they're so good!
We like bananas as a useful snack food. Our son's border collie likes them too. We timed how long it took him to eat an average sized banana and it turned out to be about 2 seconds.
No problem if your bananas go mushy. Just make banana bread. The mischief (and sweeter) the better. A satisfying way to spend an hour governed 78 year old, with the help of my air fryer.
Back in 2017 I did the 140.6 triathlon in Nottingham called The Outlaw. The main fare offered at the feed stations on the marathon consisted of bananas and jaffa cakes. I couldn't choke down the jaffa cakes so, for the five hours it took me to do the run, I was sustained entirely by bananas. I was expecting that my early morning visit to the toilet would be rather spectacular but in fact I suffered no ill effects.
Anon - So it's a good job bananas don't have a similar affect on your poop as drinking Guiness. A canry yellow turd would be something to put on Facebook...
