Saturday (I don't want to blog about politics) night

I bought a new car today. Check this out.

Humana humana
Ford Probe. You gotta love 'em. It's much more me than the pezzy Seat Cordoba I've had to drive since Mrs Bucko bought her Sierra. The Seat is for sale now, by the way. It's now clocked up just over 189 thousand miles. That's twice round Neptune.

Buying a car is an entire fun packed day out isn't it. This one was in West Yorkshire so it was a three hour round trip.

When I decided to buy it I phoned my insurance company to change it over. The cheeky buggers refused to cover me on it. They said it was because of the area I live in. I always thought I lived in a nice area. It's probably my close proximity to Blackburn and all the muslims with their crash for cash scams.

I got it home on the back of my existing policy and the garages trade policy, so technically I was covered. The cheapest quote I could get online and on the phone was more than twice the amount I'm currently paying on the poxy Seat. Insurance is one big scam that makes my blood boil. One company even asked if I was a smoker. I didn't wait to hear their quote.

I took it for a couple of new tyres because the front ones were very low. When the chap took them off, the inside edges were so bad that the steel wire was poking through. I'm surprised it got me home. Tracking should sort that out. It also seems to need a new front offside shocker.

However, all things considered, not bad for the low, low price of £325 and 7 months MOT thrown in.

Your humble host is happy today. I've finally got myself another car with a bit of poke, that oozes cheese.

Good times!
