Croc ban!

Hospital staff in Wales have been told they can no longer wear Croc-style sandals while at work due to safety fears.

There are concerns the rubber footwear does not offer sufficient protection against sharp objects such as needles.

All hospitals in Wales have signed up to a national uniform policy and this extends to shoes.

I've never believed in banning people from wearing stuff, however these people are uniformed professionals. Fair enough.

Crocs must be the most hideous footwear ever conceived. They're bloody minging!

So the approved foot wear now has puncture proof soles like my work boots? God help the poor nurses if their feet smell like mine after 12 hours in them :-)

I'm with you, they are hideous BAN THEM NOW, the only thing worse are those neoprene 'toe' shoes ( oh and Ugg boots unless you are a Tibetan Yak Herder)

Nick - Stinky feet and crocs really don't mix. All them holes let the smell and the sweat out.

Pavlovs Cat - I bet even Tibetan Yak hearders would shy away from Ugg boots.
What about them stupid ballet slipper what lasses are wearing these days? They grip my shit too.

They do seem popular with hospitals here too. I thought maybe it was something to do with being easy to disinfect or something, but maybe nurses just have shit taste in footwear.
