Cyber Fagin

Here is a video of an electronic device, in use, that can steal your credit card information directly out of your wallet without your knowledge. It is made possible by RFID Contactless Technology.

RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) chips are found in passports and modern credit or debit cards. The chap in the video used a small handheld scanner and a palmtop computer to take peoples credit card numbers, expiration dates and names. He can also access passport details.

This chap sells protective sleeves for cards that prevent them being read remotely, so his interest is clear. One of his customers is apparently the US government.

Scary stuff and demonstrates a clear security downfall with RFID chips.
