Men Pretending to be Women? Yes or No?

The answer appears to be no. You see, in modern times, if a man says he is a woman, he is a woman, and that's final. He gets access to the womens bogs, plays on the womens volleyball team, has menstural cramps, breastfeeds babies, goes to womens prisons and generally bakes the cookies with the best of them

To say otherwise makes you the worst kind of bigot

But what if a man is only pretending to be a woman? That's a big no no, even if it's for a legitimate reason

This is something I've never heard of before. I had no idea male stuntmen dressed up to double for women. Only because it's an area I have no involvement or interest in

However, without reading further, I could hazard a guess at why this is being done

My Mrs is one of two females who work in a large warehouse dominated by male employees. The reason for this is not sexism, it's simply that there aren't many women who want to do this work
Now I know there are plenty of female actors (and man / woman actors), but are there plenty of female stunt doubles (or man / woman stunt doubles), to handle the demand generated by all the female superhero and action roles (and man / woman superhero and action roles), being created in modern cinema?
"The excuse that they use is that they had to use the man because there wasn't a woman to do the job, and I can tell you that that is absolutely rubbish because I know hundreds of women that are capable car drivers, bikers, whatever, there's so much talent out there."
Interesting. The people in the industry that do the hiring say the talent isn't out there, and the woman who has the grievance, says there is. Who to believe? (And is the industry looking for stunt doubles who are merely, 'capable'?)

So who is this fountain of knowledge?
"From my point of view, it's heartbreaking," says stunt co-ordinator Tiger Lilli Rudge talking to Sky News at Space Studios in Manchester.

A stunt performer for 15 years, she now helps train other women with the skills needed to work in film and television, all too aware from her own experience that they will be fighting on multiple fronts.
She works there right in the industry, so we should believe that she knows far more than us about what she is talking about. However. There are one or two red flags in her short statement:
  • She is heartbroken. Her heart is actually broken, because sometimes male stunt doubles play the roles of women. Overly emotional
  • Her name is Tiger Lilly. Questionable upbringing
  • She trains other women. Not other people, other women. How sexist is that?
  • She's had to fight on multiple fronts for 15 years in the industry, before finally quitting to become a teacher. Sorry, assistant teacher. Maybe she just isn't that good

Have I missed anything?

On Amazon Prime's big-budget spy show Citadel, as you might expect, all the primary cast have their own assigned stunt doubles who are gender and race-appropriate.
Might give that one a wide birth then
But Sky News obtained photos of a stunt driver wearing a wig and given heavy make-up to pass as female.
Breaking News! So which capable female stuntman got passed over for that role?
it is understood it happened after an incident with the original female driver meant they turned to a last-minute replacement - and a man happened to be the only person available quickly with the right set of skills.
Ahh. I'm guessing menstural cramps. Also, nothing to see here
"Women put in all the time and effort and are more than capable to do a job…and then you put a wig on a man,"
Honey, tell that to the womens volleyball team

Hmm. She's no Cynthia Rothrock

And

The Fall Gal (The very capable Leigh Majors) ((Reverse parking))
