As bad parking goes, this moron takes a large chunk of the cake
'Inconsiderate' Fiesta driver forced a British Red Cross charity shop to stay closed for an entire day after blocking their front door with his parked car
Inconsiderate is not the term I would have used. Inconsiderate is not getting quite in the lines at the supermarket or overhanging someone's driveway a bit. Totally blocking a high street shops front door is the stuff of morons
The shop's manager Alex Sharp told BirminghamLive: 'The car was there for a good five or six hours. It was parked directly in front of the front door.'We called the non-emergency police number. We got a log number and were told to call back if it was still there, but it has since moved.'
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure there's a law about not driving on the pavement, or 'other than a road', or something. Unless the driver had misgendered the shop on Twitter though, it's really not worth hoping for a police response
A note on the charity shop's door read: 'Sorry we are closed due to car blocking door.'
'You could squeeze past, but it wouldn't have been convenient for most of our customers or anyone carrying something heavy wouldn't have been able to get through.
I wouldn't have handled it that way, I would have opened as usual. People squeezing past would have at least caused a few scratches, maybe even worse. There could have been some coffee or iced-cream spilled on it, or maybe some dents from prams and shopping trolleys
And none of it would have been the fault of the shop owner. Seems like good karma to me
