Strike busters

A secret ‘war plan’ to prevent a general strike has been drawn up by ministers – with thousands of union-busting workers lined up to cross militant picket lines.
A unit has been set up in the Cabinet Office to prevent Britain grinding to a standstill in the event of mass public sector walkouts.

I have another idea. Let them walk out and just ignore them.

If any public sector departments or services start to feel a pinch, bring in some of these youth unemployed we keep hearing about and train them to take up the slack.

Other departments and services that nobody notices missing, most I would imagine, can just be closed and those staff that are striking can be left on the picket lines to figure out their next step.

This could be a perfect opportunity to heavily cull the bloated public sector.

Bring it on, I say.

Managers at HM Revenue & Customs and the benefits system have been told to prepare contingency plans to keep tax and benefits money flowing.

Oh good. We wouldn't want anything to go wrong there, would we now. *sarcasm*
