A unit has been set up in the Cabinet Office to prevent Britain grinding to a standstill in the event of mass public sector walkouts.
I have another idea. Let them walk out and just ignore them.
If any public sector departments or services start to feel a pinch, bring in some of these youth unemployed we keep hearing about and train them to take up the slack.
Other departments and services that nobody notices missing, most I would imagine, can just be closed and those staff that are striking can be left on the picket lines to figure out their next step.
This could be a perfect opportunity to heavily cull the bloated public sector.
Bring it on, I say.
