But what about nicotine free cigarettes? Unless you're a vaper whose trying to give up, would anyone want a smoke, just for the tar hit? I doubt it
Agency to pursue lowering nicotine in cigarettes to non-addictive levels and create more predictability in tobacco regulation
Ok, they're not talking about nicotine free cigarettes, just lowering the amount of nicotine in them, so they're no longer addictive.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't tobacco supposed to be as addictive as heroine? Is there a non-addictive level of heroine?
Anyhoo, that's beside the point. Tobacco Control contradict themselves all the time. So what are cigarettes for? They're for delivering a hit of nicotine, right?
So if there's less nicotine in your fags, what are you going to do?
Smoke more fags
And the fags will still have the same levels of tar and carbon dioxide and all the other four thousand chemicals (or is it six thousand now? I can never keep up). So people will be smoking more of the harmful stuff and getting less of the good stuff
If tobacco really is as dangerous as they tell us, are they not just trying to make smoking more dangerous. Kill off the smokers?
Nah. They would never do that...
Here's a few choice snippets from the press release:
