This is the way to do it
Children left 'in tears' after school dinners 'taken from plates' over outstanding debts
Show them you're not putting up with their shit anymore
Children were left 'in tears' after lunch staff reportedly removed food from school plates over outstanding debts.A furious mum said slices of pizza, cookies and bottles of water were taken from the pupils' plates with tongs in front of other youngsters by canteen staff. The parent, who asked not to be named so their children were not embarrassed, claimed the school "humiliated" pupils as they sat to eat lunch in the canteen last Thursday (February 2).As reported by the ECHO, she claimed staff at Liverpool College then told children, who were "in tears", to inform their parents about their bills. "The school wrote to parents last week threatening to take legal action over minimal balances," said the mum."They then decided to humiliate scores of children as their accounts for school meals had slipped into a negative balance. The lunch staff publicly shamed the children by coming through the lunch hall with tongs and removing slices of pizzas, cookies, and bottles of water from their plates."I think the word from one of them was 'not today' as they took one of the child's two slices of pizza. To add insult to injury the food then had to be disposed of as the children had touched it."Children were left in tears, ringing their parents to have their accounts topped up, but even this wasn’t enough as they were then told it took time to register and sent them away again."
I feel slightly sorry for the rugrats, but I'm loving this story. These are the kind of feckless parents who want the ever suffering taxpayer, to pay for all their kids school meals. And they seem to think that if they don't bother paying, the school will stump up and foot the bill
Well something snapped. The school saw its arse and said, 'No more', if the story can be believed
While she understands schools should not have to deal the debts, she said she "couldn't help but think" there was a better way to communicate with parents.
The school already communicated with parents, as far as threatening legal action, but they were ignored
"There are many families across the city who are struggling with the cost of living. Children having to call their parents telling them they need to top up in January must have been really embarrassing."
If that's what's embarassing you, you need to give your head a wobble. Not paying for your childrens meals should be the thing that's embarassing
And your childrens accounts did not 'slip into a negative balance', anymore than you 'fell pregnant' when having them. You failed at the most important bit of parenting
