Those 'Strong' Women

Hi all. Hopefully you all had a good Christmas, with a lot of decent food and booze. Well there's to be a few days of normality before we crack open the next bottles on New Years Eve, so here's a story about strong, independant women, making it on their own

Women get periods. Yet we've been told for the past 100 years or so, that women are able to compete in life the same as men, and should be allowed to go out there and do all the things that men do

Female footballers have been shouting for some time now, that they deserve to be paid the same as male footballers and the fact that they don't is simple misogyny. The answer is, draw in as much money in sponsorship and ticket sales as the men do, and you'll get paid the same

 

To be fair, womens football did become a lot more popular during the womens world cup, so you never know, one day

 

But I don't think this is the way to go about it

'If men had periods we would have figured out a way to stop them by now,' says the English defender as she reveals her health struggles 

If men had periods,  we would have figured out how to stop them? Read between the lines there

Men are the problem solvers

Men haven't solved this problem because is doesn't affect them

It affects women, but they are incapable of solving problems

I would love to hear the opinion of this, from any of my female readers?

Williamson has said that debilitating period pain poses a major problem for female athletes, and would have been eradicated by now if men had to endure it.

She said: “I’m pretty sure if men had periods we would have figured out a way to stop them by now without doing any damage.”

Wow! Just wow. She really is saying that she believes only men can solve her problems. I'm astounded, to be honest

And as Tim points out over at his place, the NHS does have options available. I'm not sure how effective they are, only being a man and stuff...

But if you go and make me a sammich, I'll have a go at coming up with some new wonderdrug to solve your problem. Shouldn't be too hard
