Saturday (I don't want to blog about politics) night

Listen very carefully, I shall say this only once.

I've been watching Allo Allo this past week. I can't remember why I started it but I'm glad I did, it's the funniest thing I've seen in ages.

I did see one or two episodes when it was on the telly and I was a nipper, but back then I was probably too young to get all the innuendos. Now they are so in your face you can't miss them.

No telly broadcaster would get away with showing Allo Allo these days. The British public have become so sensitive that they would have a kitten watching that.

"Oh no, a swastika, call the police!"

It is very controvertial and it has been said that it makes a bit of a mockery of a serious situation, but at the end of the day it is a bit of light hearted humour. And it is bloody funny.

It's very unsophisticated funny too. Every episode is based around the same catchphrases in different siuations. It's done in such a way though, to make each use of the same joke as funny as the first one. I think so anyway.

'Tis I, LeClerc. Good Mowning. You stoopid woman! What a mistaka to maka!

Now I remember why I started watching it, I was looking for Last of the Summer Wine but could not find it.

I bet there are a few knobheads who would find that offensive too. Old people getting up to mischief and having fun? They should be in a care home.

Anyway, 'tinternet did not provide me with LOTSW. One of the few times the web has let me down. If anyone has a box set or something for sale, let me know, cash waiting.

This post is a bit of a non-entity tonight as I started writing it while Mrs Bucko was getting ready to go out, but now she is tugging at my shirt sleve (easy at the back) and pestering me to get a move on.

The pub it is then. Have a good Saturday and I'll be back tomorrow, bad head permitting.
