Things you can do in...

...bed*

The first 'in bed' activities that come to mind are sleeping and sex. Of course you can do these things pretty much anywhere but they require comfort to get the best results. A bed is much more comfortable than say, a gravel path.

Most people don't use their beds for any other activity. What's the point on splashing out on a comfortable bed if it's left unused for sixteen hours of the day? There are so many other activities that can be done in bed. Here's a few that I enjoy.

Watching DVD's. Relaxing with a good film requires comfort; the couch isn't bad but the bed is much better. You can even drink beer in bed with your film.

Beds aren't just comfortable, they're peaceful which makes them great places for writing letters, blogging or reading the Beano doing the Telegraph crossword.

You could also try doing a jigsaw, making a model aeroplane or fixing small electronic items. It's also a perfect medium for Playstation games.

You know what else I like doing in bed? Eating. Again, the couch is adequate for a meal but you haven't dined in style until you've done it in bed.

You do have to pick your food wisely though. If you've got your plate on a tray balanced on your chest, you don't want anything too sloppy or anything that creates a large amount of crumbs. I prefer chicken kievs with chips and salad (not beans) or porridge with syrup if you're looking for something lighter. Avoid spaghetti bolognaise.

Your bed is a lot more versatile than you imagine. I invite you all to find extra uses for it.

*If you were wondering, there was no real point to this post.
