Wayne Topping faces 24 allegations, including 12 countsof indecent assault on a girl under 16, and two counts of gross indecency on a girl under 16.

Topping, originally from the Johnston Street area, is also charged with 10 offences relating to images of animal pornography, from the lowest level one to the highest level five of seriousness.

 Now I didn't know animal porn had counts of seriousness. Is it like imminent terrorist attacks. Oooh the sever end of severe etc...

Among those charges, he faces a count of possessing an extreme pornographic image.

Topping, who had been living in Surrey, was arrested last December and his computer seized.
He was charged on October 7 by Lancashire Police and will appear before Hyndburn magistrates on October 22.
The sexual offences allegations date back to the 1990s.
