So Sick of 'Charities'

So there's a war on. I've been trying to draft a blog post about the idiocy of Britain going toe to toe with the worlds biggest nuclear power, over what is clearly an internal matter to the former USSR, but don't seem to be able to find the right words without waffling incoherently

I'm sure I can find the words to fisk this bollocks though:
Charities have urged the UK government to welcome refugees from the conflict in Ukraine

In a letter to the Times, the charities, which include Save the Children, Amnesty International and the Refugee Council, asked the UK to lead international cooperation to “handle a sudden increase in the number of people forced to flee” the conflict, [...]

Where the blithering bejeesus do these idiot charities think we are going to put all these refugees. First it's the Channel migrants (and still is), then the Hong Kong Chinese, now the Ukranians

How are we going to house and feed and look after all these people?

Ok, so my biggest bug bear is the Channel migrants. Fighting age men supposedly fleeing war and persecution, but leaving their women and children behind. We all know, even though the charities and left wing hand wringers deny it, that all these people want is English benefits. Once they get here, they will never have to work another day in their lives

The Hong Kongers are a bit different. We did actually hand their country over to the Communists, although it was by an international treaty that we would have been silly to try to go back on, but at least they have a work ethic and aren't coming simply for the free cash

As for the Ukranians, they are actually in the middle of a war and from what I've seen so far, it's a lot more likely the women and kids would come here while the fighting age men stay at home and try to do something (But news is nothing more than propaganda from all sides these days, so who knows what the truth might be?)

It doesn't matter what I think or anyone else though. At the end of the day, we can't afford to accept a constant stream of refugees for all corners of the globe. We are a tiny island with finate resources
The UK government said its priority is to support British nationals and their families in Ukraine, and the government position is that people fleeing persecution should seek safety in the first safe country they reach.
That's certainly been the correct position, but it's never been the Government position, the lying bastards

We have daily arrivals of the worlds worse scroungers and they come across the water from France; quite a nice country that isn't at war and dosen't persecute anyone (except may the un-vaccinated)

These people have crossed half a world and multiple safe countries to get here and they will never be deported. In fact they will be housed on arrival in nice hotels, because they are too good for army barracks

If the Government is going to use the first safe country excuse, they should have done it when the first dinghy crossed the Channel and immediately begun to lay on return flights to Africa. Now we have an asylum system clogged with chancers and the hotels are full

If the correct response had been taken from the outset, we may now have had some room to take in some Unkranians who genuinely need it. At least they would only be looking for a safe place until shit sorts itself out and not to turn our cites and towns into third world crap holes, while raping our women and children
The charities said the crisis “illuminates the crucial flaw” in the nationality and borders bill, which discriminates against refugees who reach UK shores by illegal means, such as by boat across the channel.

I really don't see how it discriminates against the Channel scroungers, when they are entering without challenge, even being scooped out of the sea by the RNLI before they reach our shores, only to be housed in hotels, their every need catered for and no hope of them ever being deported

[Government] “We continue to work with our international partners on a range of issues as the situation develops, including migration.”

I've no objection to opening up to people genuinely fleeing war, but let's clean up the ludicrous situation we've created with the Channel Migrants too, eh?
