Never give them an inch

Seriously. Trans activists can never be appeased. Whatever you give them, it's not enough

Indy 100 appears to be some kind of news outlet that likes to run stories about how everyone is transphobic. Their content appears on my MSN from time to time, but I can never seem to find the actual copy to link to. You can always get the unhinged version from LGBTQ+ Nation, if you must

Anyhow. So what's the hoo ha? There is a new Harry Potter computer game coming out and so far, trans activists have been up in arms about it, complaining that if you give money to JK Rowling, you must be the worst knid of bigot

These are the situations where trans activists should be roundly lampooned or simply ignored, but no, someone has decided to include a trans character in the game. Presumably an attempt at some kind of appeasement

(I don't know if JK Rowling still owns Harry Potter or if it's all been sold to Disney, but...) whoever decided to add this charcater forgot the golden rule. If trans activists are pushing you, don't give in. Adding a trans character will not get you anything but more idiotic wailing and gnashing of teeth
The character, Sirona Ryan, was introduced on Monday (6 February) and worked at The Three Broomsticks pub in London.
Sirona also plays a vital role in the troll and goblin scenes within the game.
So far so good (although I thought the Three Broomsticks was in Hogsmeade, but there's probably a million of them)
Still, people online took issue with Sirona's name, pointing out that the name begins with "Sir" and the last name is Ryan, which can be deemed a masculine name.
Yes. That's what they're complaining about. A man who identifies as a woman has a name that is still a bit mannish, if you use your imagination and choose to see it
One person wrote: "Y'all decided to approach a very, very, VERY delicate issue, and instead of handling it with care you tackled it to the ground and set it on fire. How do you make a trans girl in a franchise notoriously owned by a bigot and name her *SIR*ona Ryan," one wrote.
Tackling it to the ground and setting it on fire is what should be done to the entire trans movement

And the idea that Rowling is a bigot is preposterous. Any sane person can see that nothing she's ever said is bigoted, she just speaks in plain facts and truths, something that gets trans knickers in a twist
A third simply wrote: "I'm being completely serious when I say that if you play this game, I don't respect you as a person."
That just makes me want to go out and buy the game. The trouble is though, unlike the books and films, the other games were garbage

So I won't
