Sometimes you just can't win

So Asda recently released a new budget range called 'Just Essentials'. It was a range of cheaper stuff in line with the 'no frills' method used in all the major supermarkets from time to time

The new range immedately prompted outrage on Twitter. What doesn't these days? You'd think cheaper food would be seen as a good thing, but apparently the bright yellow labels on the range stood out, making poor people feel ashamed or something

You try to help, and all you get is grief

Well as it turns out, the Just Essentials range is so popular, Asda have had to impose buying limits of three per item, to make sure eveyone gets some. This has of course, prompted outrage. As I said, what doesn't?

All the poeple who would be up in arms if the shelves were empty because a few people, probably including the local corner shops, had bought all the stock, think they themselves have the right to hoover up as much as they want, becuase they have kids. Or are fat, or something
ASDA shoppers 'appalled' by new rules for anyone buying own-brand food
Sorry, appalled, not outraged. I'm getting my anger verbs mixed up. (Is it a verb or a noun?)
Supermarket giant ASDA is facing a furious backlash from angry shoppers after bringing in new rules for anyone buying its cheap Just Essentials range
These will presumably be the same angry shoppers who took umbrage with the yellow labels that highlight them as >>POOR<<
Elaine Taylor commented: "Tha'ts all good to stop people stockpiling but when you have a family of 7 and can only do a monthly shop, its very unhelpful and has now stopped me shopping at asda because i cant get what we need!!"
Typical Facebook entitlement with lack of cognitive reasoning
It's not Asda fucking fault you can't keep your legs shut
You can get what you need, as the same items are availble in other ranges, they just cost a few pence more
Stopping shopping at ASDA isn't going to do you any good, because as far as I'm aware, no other supermarkets have the Just Essentails range. If you go to Tesco, you won't even be able to buy three each of the really cheap stuff

Morons
Geraldine Waddell slammed: "I buy these in a weekly shop for my elderly mother inlaw with dementia as it’s easier for carers and her budget. Get your act together Asda and think of the elderly, vulnerable and those on a tight budget. I’m actually appalled with Asda for this but not surprised."
So buy three each. If you need more, buy a different brand. You know, the different brands that you were buying before the Just Essentials range came out
And you might be thinking of Age Concern. ASDA is not a charity

Imbeciles
Alysha Fletcher pointed out: "Only issue this creates is when you have a large family, you cannot buy what you need. Means I would need to do 2 separate shops or take hubby shopping with me so he had 1 trolley and I had another as we are a family of 5, with 3 teenage children. And we do monthly food shopping. And taking hubby shopping just creates more stress because he will chuck non listed stuff in and cost me a fortune lol which means I will have to do 2 lots of shopping over 2 days (it's a bit of a trek in the car to do twice in 1 day)."
This one sounds like a middle class belmtard. Maybe she should do her shopping online
I bet Hubby is glad he doesn't get invited on shopping trips. Probably a right nightmare

Halfwits
Gemma Anderton said: "They have put the restriction on so its fair for everyone. It's because of stock availability and nothing to do with anything else."
Ahh. Common Sense. I'd be careful with that
Facebook numbskulls like those above, only care about fairness when it aligns with their sense of entitlement.
An ASDA spokesperson told Manchester Evening News: "Just Essentials is proving really popular at the moment and we’re working hard to get the out of stock products back on the shelves as quickly as we can.
But if this nonsense keeps up, you can all fuck off and we'll just scrap the range altogether
Well he didn't actually say that last line, but if he's anything like me, he'd have been thinking it very loudly
