Mother of the year 2019

And the winner is...
Mother who blames TUI for leaving her son behind in Crete demands compensation: She tells of her horror after returning home to find her sick autistic son, 24, WASN'T on plane
A mother-of-four has described her horror after discovering her sick autistic son was not on the plane after her family landed in Cardiff following a holiday in Greece.
But on arrival at Heraklion Airport for their return flight, Jack, who has autism, was taken away by a doctor after falling ill with a migraine and vomiting - and Mrs Purdy only realised he wasn't on the plane when they landed in Cardiff.
How on Earth do you manage to get on the plane without one of your offspring?
On boarding the plane, the family noticed Jack's assigned seat was unoccupied but were confident he was sitting in priority seating further forwards
Confident? Confident enough not to bother going forward to check on her sick, autistic son
Mrs Purdy began a frantic three-and-a-half hour search for her son with the help of airport security as well as police and the British Consulate.
She then found out that he had not been put on the plane at all and was still in Crete without his passport, mobile phone or money.
Without his passport? How did she make it all the way to luggage collection without looking for him, when she was holding his passport? No, never mind that, how did she go through the whole flight without going to check on him on the plane? What the fuck was she thinking? Someone else will take care of him, not my responsibility?
The mother-of-four said she could 'not believe it' when she discovered Jack was still in Greece.
'He must have been thinking we had all abandoned him
You had
Jack was taken to a hospital and given free medical care before returning to the airport on his own, where a TUI manager accompanied him on his flight home.
Mrs Purdy added her son was 'tearful' when he arrived home in a taxi from Cardiff airport.
After she managed to do a whole flight without checking on her ill son, the tour operator brought him back to England and she couldn't even be bothered to meet him at the airport
The 'livid' mother wants TUI to compensate her family and ensure it does not happen to anybody else.
Kerching! I hope she doesn't see a penny of compensation. I would say the feckless cow deserves to have her kids taken off her, if that's how she looks after them. Jack is 24 though, so technically an adult

I never understand why feckless compensation hunters like this woman go to the newspapers. All they can expect is to be ridiculed under the line by everyone who enjoyed reading the story for it's comedy value alone
