Friday night Moose music - One hit wonders

A very successful singer overall, selling more than ten million albums, but with only one UK solo hit single, it's John Parr.

He was born in England and has played with Dire Straights and Meat Loaf. Man in Motion was written in honour of wheelchair athlete Rick Hansen and was the theme tune to the film, St Elmos Fire.

Ah that takes me back, first full time job, working as head barman in The Camden, this on the jukebox, while doing the bottling up in the afternoon. (This being back in the days when the pubs shut 3:00pm - 6:00pm)

I just used to leave the jukebox running till the money played out. People always put too much in over lunch, normally gave me a sound track until the next session. Then the girlfriend would come in for her shift at 6:00,

She went on to become a Hostess for British Caledonian, which is probably why having set the bar so high to start with, I've been pretty much single ever since.

Pavlovs Cat - Good times, good times. There was no afternoon break when I started working in pubs. No juke box in most of them either, just a CD stacker system. Most of the CDs went in the bin when I started at a new pub, it was all backgroung rubbish like Dido. Soon sorted that out.
