New Gap Logo Dumped

New Gap logo dumped after Facebook and Twitter backlash.

I wouldn't normally blog such inane guff. I'm not interested in designer labels or their advertising, but please bear with me.

Once fans saw the change, thousands went on to the store’s Facebook site and on Twitter to denounce it.

Gap said ‘outpouring of comments’ online had forced it to dump the new logo.
New York-based ad agency Laird & Partners had designed the logo showing ‘Gap’ in black against a light background, with a small blue box partly behind the letter ‘p’.

"It’s not known how much they were paid."
