Return Of The Mac....

....Well, PC actually, but what the hell?

The re-install had a few issues. After the first attempt, the PC would not boot up at all so I had to do it again.
I got Windows loading about 7 o'clock on Saturday, abandoned the project and went to the pub.

I got all the software re-loaded on Sunday morning but I couldn't get access to the My Documents folder.

How can my PC, that I bought, say "Access is Denied" when I want to get into My Documents?

I had to follow a long winded process that I got off Google. It involved booting in safe mode, taking "ownership" of the files, copying them into a new folder and deleting the old one. The copy and paste took over an hour.

I can't understand the reason for these security protocols on domestic PC's. They're my fucking files. Who the hell is my fucking PC to tell me access is denied?

Punch Screen Technology required, I think.

Ahhh. I've never seen it. 2001 was so boring I wanted to pull my arms off, just to have something to throw the telly. I never gave the sequels a chance.

In some ways I think it was better - more sci fi-y and less esoteric - but it's 2001 everyone raves about. Probably they just watched the last 15 minutes with some acid.

We were forced to watch 2001 during a double science lesson when I was 15. Sitting rigidly and silent in a straight backed wooden chair would probably ruin most films, but 2001; I just wanted to die.
That was 19 years ago. Maybe it's time to try them again? This time on a couch with some beer (and a cat).
