Institutional Sexism

This is an apology printed in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph today:

A story on Mon Jun 28th, referred to East Lancashire 'Dads' owing more than 40 million in child support payments..
Since five percent of the 2320 people involved were female we would like to make clear that the word 'parents' should have been used.

Hmm...
