Landlord loses his licence for allowing a horse to walk into his pub

More than 100 travellers descended on the Cross Keys pub in Erith, Kent, on August 15, and five of them simply rode their horses through the bar doors in a bid to get a drink.

The CCTV footage which could have come from a comedy Western shows a woman riding her horse into his pub.

The publican claimed he had the “situation under control”.

But licensing officer PC Eddy Boston said that even in Wild West movies, cowboys had “tethered their horses outside”.
