In order to enhance flavour (a vegan t-bone steak is a challenge!!!) you need loads of sugar, artificial sweetener just doesn't cut it, and better even, loads of FAT.

You got to love the vegan activists. They provide soooo much entertainment!!!

BrigitteAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232613925790974435.post-71402420671635732242020-01-28T16:44:51.196+00:002020-01-28T16:44:51.196+00:00Hi Brigitte

Real vegans have always had they Linda McCartney and Quorn stuff to make the diet a bit more interesting, but all this new crap coming out is defo for the new age wannabees who can be sold a vegan fry up that looks and tastes like the real thing and still claim to be 'vegans', just because they don't have the stamina to be preparing proper veg food all the time

"UNHEALTHY!!!"
yes, I doubt it will be long before Action on Sugar are wailing about the number of teaspoons in a vegan t-bone steak

They should create a 'meat based range' for us carnivores. All the retailers are milking it for all it's worth, from plant based fast food burgers, to the 'plant based' range in every supermarket.
This is something that has been amusing me for quite a while. A lot of "plant based" foods comes wrapped tightly in plastic....

These businesses are not trying to save the planet or caring about vegans, they're just making a buck off the backs of a bunch of virtue signalling, middle class twats, who don't have the courage of their convictions unless their trendy vegan diet tastes of cow and pig
Here I have to defend vegans who have been this for many years. Most of them are aware that the minute amount of "plant based" Vitamin B12 is useless as we are unable to take it up and eat fortified cereals.

The new age vegans have a lot to learn.
A true vegan will have a lentil salad for lunch. A faux vegan will have a 'sausage' roll made from mushroom paste
I doubt there will be many of them left once this weird, highly processed "plant based" has been shown to be rather UNHEALTHY!!!

BeobrigitteAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
