Even the rain in Normandy sounds more appealing than the current downpour that makes up the great British summer.

But at least it's not as cold as bloody Bruges last February ;)Pat Nurse MAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01591807335364002658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232613925790974435.post-63316551193677918402012-06-12T18:59:21.641+01:002012-06-12T18:59:21.641+01:00Heh! Much better than buses :-)Buckohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03169970711606515445noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-232613925790974435.post-64931513921836079442012-06-12T18:41:28.913+01:002012-06-12T18:41:28.913+01:00We have driven all over Normandy and only once got...We have driven all over Normandy and only once got lost and that was because the motorway junction Nos had been changed and the map was out of date. You are doing something wrong!
Some stupid maps (and Google) also highlight all the roads with E numbers (Euro?) but the french hardly ever use them - follow the A (autoroute) or D (departmental) number system.
Buy a decent map and it's almost impossible to get lost!
Also remember that straight ahead on 'fingerposts' at junctions like crossroads often point sideways at 45 degrees to the exit, not usually up at the sky.
Motorway signs that list towns 'en route' on overhead signs show them in the order of the exits. Top one is next off.
Go on it's fun really isn't it.Woodsy42https://www.blogger.com/profile/12355671210161625647noreply@blogger.com
